There are about a million people that I need to thank for all the help on this website, for wakeboarding and just life in general.
Firstly I need to thank Erika Langman for being an amazing friend. For always encouraging me to try new things and having more confidence in me and my riding then I could ever have in myself. For being a perfect partner to live randomly out of a car with on the road for a couple weeks to the perfect team mate for getting this site up and running finally! Thank you for help recruiting international girls, writing tons of awesome articles, the hours and hours that you have spent editing and talking to me about site ideas, and being super honest with me about the over all look and feel of the site. Most of all for being pretty much down to do anything!
My sister, Maggie Boothroyd for traveling around with me all summer and being an awesome road trip partner, whether it be spending a whole weekend in the boat at competitions, driving down to Wakestock to shoot photos and cheer for me, or just making random trips to the Muskokas or Quebec, coming out in the boats for the day at the girls clinics and getting tons of sick photos of all the girls for the website. I don’t know how to thank you for how much help you’ve been all summer long.
Jen GilanFarr for being such a rad chick, helping me sooooooo much with the website, for putting up with my millions of questions all of the time AND for all of her awesome artistic/design input.
Vince Whiteman for helping with filming, editing, writing and being a sick wakeskate buddy/coach. Always encouraging me to ride, even when I should be doing other things lol. You only live once right?
Jay Poole for helping with everything from writing to design ideas, inspiration and always wanting to shred. For being a wicked-talented wakeskater, wakeboarder and wakesurfer and yet somehow getting hyper about every thing I do on the water. Also for occasionally telling me to man up.
Jay Lambert for always putting up with my millions of html and code questions. You pretty much rock. Also: Chris Skoog and Ryan Dury and my mom for putting up with my dumb website questions while I couldn’t hunt down Jay.
Leslie Sparkes for being such a funny, nice and awesome person. For making me laugh all the time and for being inspiration to create this site and helping me with it, and for writing articles. For encouraging me to come ride with her at the projects, basecamp, fenlin falls… wherever!
Kayle McMillen for being the perfect partner to hop in a 1984 ford windstar (eddie bauer edition) mini van and make the long trip to the projects and all the way to Key West with. So glad that Burt made it home. For sharing the opinion that that there are tons of talented female riders out there who do not get the respect and media coverage they deserve, so lets do something about it!
Blake Rowsell and Jay at Team Fun for always including me, being fun and awesome coaches.
Brad Conlin for being down for the cause and for encouraging me to get into the girls competitive scene and for all the tows.
Scott Duke at Basecamp for his hospitality and for being the awesome, friendly and helpful person that he is. (You are pretty much the man)
David Ouellette for keeping me sane throughout the off-season and getting me amped on snowboarding. Listening to be rant about girls wakeboarding for 4 hours straight. lol
Stephanie Thornton for her wicked awesome writing/wakeskating skills and for being the best wingman a girl could ask for. I love how you are so down for the cause and all about positive energy. It’s good to know that no matter how bummed we both are, we can get together and suddenly we are super excited about life! My sister Courtney for loving to shred. Also Jillyan Lippert, Lindsay, Stacey and Serena Fuderer, Jenny Kastner and Alana Chan for being possibly the raddest group of chicks to ride with in the history of the planet earth! Never a dull moment.
My Dad, John Boothroyd for being the most positive person in my life and for always being pumped about everything that I do. For teaching me how to waterski, windsurf and for towing me back and forth being the boat for most of my childhood.
My mom for coming out to my competitions, supporting me, and especially for all of her help with website meltdowns.
Joel Adiar at the Projects for his hospitality. Emily Tenwestneind, Jeremy Eckford and Mark Norris for always wanting to shred! Sarah Johnson at Rad Galz for stoking girls in all sideways sports. Hayley Henson at Boarder Magazine, Andy Campbell at Definitive, Paul Saberton at L13, Addison Farr, Scotty Boysen, Josh Eccles for ALWAYS calling me without fail to see if Im down to shred. Mike Maynard for being such a crazy wakeboarding bad ass.
To all the people that have been such a huge part of my life: Kate Suhr, Heather Kitchen, Talon and Hunter, Alana Grespan, Matt Lowcock, Patty Cadigan, Adrian Welsh, Drew Heming, Sarah Allen, Mitchell Sharp, Clayton Dyele, Drew Petkoff, Katie Blacker, Sonia Gallo, Jen Carter, Kortney Hilderbrandt, Mike Lalonde,Taysha Paige, Leah Newson….
